A big update from our favorite beer app, Untappd, and Scotty B!
Wait. You want more? Okay, there are soft beer openings, there is word on the new Sierra Nevada Beer Camp 12-pack, people need to stop saying “brew”, a Los Angeles get together with some Perfect Pour listeners might have happened, the show gets ripped big time on iTunes, Mikey has excessive liquid at Chilli’s, a new drop from Paul, a beer is named after a Perfect Pour thing, are crowlers allowed in the shower? AND MUCH MORE!
This week on the show, a Budweiser commercial has got Mikey dangerously close to drinking a Bud. Dangerously.
Plus!: Joshua Tehee and Kathy Mahan from the Fresno Bee newspaper (and Flowing With Famous), come on to talk about the Bee’s new beer page and the local Fresno beer scene.
We also tackle what it’s like when your significant other is not a beer geek and you’re out there trying to be all beer geeky! And we listen to voicemails, drink some first-time-in-a-can perfection, look out for some new beer releases and give a tip or two about getting Pliny The Younger.
We screwed up last week and come clean about it. We also ponder the Green Flash news, Sierra Nevada’s zero waste, new Tioga in cans, the importance of marketing and can-art in craft beer, new beer releases to look out for and a whole lot more!!
Friend to all beer geeks, Tony Bagz, joins us in the studio to help us pair sponge candy with sponge candy beer, figure out if crowlers are going to kill off growlers, trading beer stories, figure our if Sante Adarius will still be excellent with a new brewer and help us figure out how to become the most well-liked beer geek in California.
We also listen to voicemails, drink a lot more and talk about craft beer releases to look out for – including Pliny The Younger from Russian River.
Hide away in the garage, crack open a beer and turn us on.
We have Kelly (Whosecraft) this week with a lot of stellar beer…and yes, it is in fact “indie”. Many beers are drank. Craft Beer information is exchanged. There are voicemails from parking lots. New beer songs are played. We give a heads up to new beer releases, including a indie brewery colab-ing with Miller?
You know when you go to a place and order a beer and they bring the beer to you and it doesn’t look right or taste right? But you are not confident enough to tell the waiter “you brought me the wrong beer” so you keep drinking it.
Well, we drank out of the wrong growler this week. But instead of sending it back, we were grateful. Super grateful.
Some things to also look out for in this week’s show:
Spotting a fellow beer geek in the grocery store.
Quitely there’s a new almost buyout beer.
An Evil Twin beer gets Jesus censored.
A story about going to Toronado beer bar in San Francisco.
When is Ikea getting a beer bar?
Cheese replaces cheers.
A re-state on why we make fun of Firestone Walker’s “805” beer.
We have a whale beer that is truly a ‘whale’ beer.
There’s a lot more than that if you give the show a shot and listen
