Big Dog, aka “XL Perro”, joins us this week to talk about Buffalo’s craft beer scene and living in San Diego during the rise of the OG, San Diego Brewers. We also drink a lot of great beers, look out for some new beer releases and talk about how freaking hard it is to open a brewery.
We begin our next beer trek, this one to episode 300, at the start: 201.
This week, we catch up with the latest in craft beer culture, maybe (just maybe) begin a major craft beer movement, start a ‘brewmance’ and drink some amazing beers, all donated by listeners! We have some pretty rad listeners, as you are about to find out. Cheers!
Thank you. Thank you for hanging with us. We are here for the 200th time. Time to have fun.
This is what we should have done in the first place. Mike Cruz, top pour beer geek and industry dude at Tioga Sequoia Brewing, comes back to the show to celebrate 200 episodes with us. Lots of special bottle openings and even a special crowler or two. We also passionately talk about all the Buyout Beer news, have lots of great voicemails and lots of fun having.
Steven from Zack’s Brewing fills in for a missing member of the show this week. But hey, that’s cool because Steven may or may not have an announcement for us and the question of “What does it take to open up a brewery?” is going to be a relevant one.
Plus, all kinds of beer nerd things are going to happen. Things like, listeners calling us to let everyone know what their beer scene is like, we drink all the beers including the “new to town” Revision Brewing and more craft beer FUN. Because beer is FUN.
Things have been quiet around here for a few weeks so we decided to wake up the Indie Beer Gods and have Tyler (Head Awesome Dude at Libertine Brewing), Rad Stacey (New Belgium) and Tony Bagz (from THAT episode and Central Coast Distributing), on the show again. It’ll be FUN.
There might be some surf talk, brewing talk, New Belg talk, beer bar talk, sour beer advice, bad Mother’s Day advice, and lots of drinking!!
